Fully Rested. (:

So, Ava slept through the entire night! I feel like I have so much energy! (Hence the title "fully rested".) I have an amazing husband who has been working hard all day today. I love him so much and I am so proud to be his wife. (: Anyway, we kind of switched it up this year by eating Christmas dinner the day after Christmas, and I liked it that way! Randi set the table all cute with sparkly candles and cute decorations. Christmas day is so chaotic it's kind of nice just to get to relax and not prepare a huge dinner. The missionaries came over for dinner and we watched Joy to the World. I'm really glad we did because I feel like I didn't keep in mind the true meaning of Christmas this year. Also, I'm starting to make a list of things I want to change and accomplish with the New Year. It goes something kind of like this:
1. No soda for at least three months.
2. Ship my scriptures out and read them once a day. Yes, ship my scriptures out, I know, I'm a terrible person. : /
3. Start and maintain an excersise routine.
4. Eat as healthy as possible.
5. Go to bed earlier, wake up earlier. It's true, the early bird usually does get the worm.
6. Make lists everyday of things I need to get done. I feel like a million bucks when I can check something off. (:
7. Enjoy the little things I take for granted.
8. Relax, I don't need to stress about everything all the time.
9. Get my license.
10. Graduate.

Pretty good, out of order, but a good start. I'm so excited for the New Year. 2010 was so crazy. Being pregnant, getting married, hospital trips, having Ava, more hospital trips, and moving across the country! It will be nice to slow down for a while and just enjoy my family and the people I'm around. P.S. Ava will be three months old on January 4th! Crazy!

First Christmas! 2010

2010 has been full of firsts for us. Since we moved to North Carolina at the beginning of the month, a lot has changed. We're living with Dakota's sister (Randi) and her family of five: Bart (Randi's husband) and the kids, Bartel, Chloe (a.k.a. Coco), Annie, and Oliver. Also, we had our first Christmas together as a family today! The trees are sprinkled with snow, the family is enjoying their presents and the stress of the holidays is finally toned down.  Coco and Annie are playing with their American Girl dolls, Dakota, Bart, and Bartel are playing Axis & Allies (kinda like Risk but based on World War 2), Randi is M.I.A., and Oliver can't get enough of Ava who is asleep in her new bouncer, that I was SO excited for. Randi and I decided to try a new recipe everyday to mix in some new family favorites, I'm super stoked! Oh and by the way, I made those cinnamon rolls from scratch! P-r-e-t-t-y dang proud of those. I am so grateful for this family and my own, this Christmas has been the best one yet! I think that between now and the New Year is the perfect time to reflect on this past year, make goals and find direction in our lives and I will definitely take advantage of that opportunity. Maybe I should give up soda, we'll see how I feel when 2011 rolls around. :) Merry Christmas!
